One thing we have in common across the infamous "Röstigraben" is that we understand bière / Bier and fromage / Käse in each others' language.
During this evening we will go on a tour of the six Welsh Kantons to taste six beers and cheeses. Of the 15 hectares of Swiss vineyard, 3/4 are in Romandie and the Welsch are famous for their beloved coup de blanc. A traditional view of our country explains that the "North" is attached to a beer-making tradition while the "South" is bathed in the wine civilization. But in the past years many craft breweries have emerged also in the French parts of Switzerland, pairing wonderfully with some of the best cheeses in the country.
